Mr. Schnurr has 35+ years of investment, ownership, and management experience in all aspects of real estate. Founding Square One in 2015, Mr. Schnurr focuses the firm on expanding its portfolio by partnering with highly experienced sponsors who are experts in their respective markets and investing in commercial & industrial assets that he believes are well positioned for above market returns over the long run. A conservative approach combined with markets and properties that have historically high occupancy, such as a focus on multi-family, industrial distribution & flex space facilities, has been a winning formula since his founding of Square One.

Mike oversees a portfolio of 80+ properties that consist of 7,700+ multi-family units, 3,000+ s.f. of industrial space, and 500K+ s.f. of office space, (as of October, 2024) and collaborates with a team of professionals with the goal of continued advancement of the firm. Over the years he has gained experience in multiple roles, markets, and product types such as new construction, renovations, and value-add properties. In his free time, Mike’s passions are his love for his wife, 3 children, and traveling and spending quality time at the family beach house. Mike’s adventures have led him to ride a Vespa throughout Italy, Vodka contests in Moscow, bench pressing in Venice, California, swimming in the Greek Isles, hot air ballooning over Napa Valley, dog sledding in Alaska, and food tasting in Prague. He supports many causes important to him especially the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the St. Vincent’s DePaul Society.
